Masterclass with Eugen Jebeleanu

❗️ The activity is accessible exclusively to students of the Faculty of Theatre and Film who have registered in advance.
An exploration of theatrical creation starting from the notion of constraint as an artistic driving force. Drawing on his experience as a theatre, opera, and film director, Eugen Jebeleanu will examine how certain restrictions—spatial, dramaturgical, political, or intimate—can shape the creative process. Eugen Jebeleanu’s work is closely connected to his collaboration with the French playwright Yann Verburgh. In 2010, they co-founded Compagnie 28, and later the Franco-Romanian company Cie des Ogres, developing an artistic path built on a constant dialogue between directing and dramaturgy. The company explores a contemporary, political, and poetic theatre, focused on identity, marginality, memory, and power relations in today’s society. Their productions have been presented on stages in Romania, France, and Germany, in collaboration with major theatre institutions and international festivals.
