Dialogue – The Future of Artistic Work and Solidarity Practices (RO)

May 29 | 14:00 - 15:30

✅ EVENT: https://fb.me/e/3LAW8yy8f

The future of work is becoming an increasingly important topic in a society transitioning toward a fourth Industrial Revolution. Yet this transition does not necessarily generate solutions to structural problems, deepened by waves of austerity, which affect both employees and, especially, freelance workers. How is this felt in theatre and film? What perspectives are available to young graduates entering a world shaped by rapid and unstable transformations? What forms of solidarity already exist in the artistic field, and what new practices might be rethought, adapted, or invented? If we are to consider solutions that go beyond the local context and could be scaled, perhaps we should also look toward models such as the guaranteed basic income available to artists in Ireland?

Guests: Rarița Zbranca, Oana Mateescu, Cristian Pop, Ioana Țurcan. Moderator: Miki Braniște.
